If you go from Central Station down the mian street you will end up in Damm Square,. There you can visit the Townhall, The Cathedral and some museums like thMadame's Tussauds

This is the place where I arrive everytime I come to Amsterdam. Beautiful train station, good trains ( double cabin up & down) and very good train services. Excellent

We did not go inside, first because we did not have plenty of time to enjoy Amsterdam, secondly, because we hsaw it was a toursit place. Not worthed.

You will find the Sex Museum and bar & gift shops on this street. Only for tourists. I still remember one night when one tram step over a bicycle, and the ambulance was picking up the rider on the ground!

Last itme I was in Amsterdam ,it was cold & windy. Try to take with you something warm, altought in summer time, days are great to walk around in T-shirt
