    This emporium sits right next to the local newspaper, the Guthrie Leader. Under its ample facade (dated 1891), the Near and Far store enjoys the largest quarters in Guthrie's historic center.

    What To Buy: Though almost all of town is devoted to trinkets and baubles in its gift shops, you can find jewelry, rustic furniture and other gifts here.

    The Country Corner with its distinctive oriel window is easily recognizable at the corner of Oklahoma and Division. Inside you'll find every conceivable kind of gift and novelty, all kinds of antiques and collectibles (including what the proprietor calls "cabin decor," which I don't pretend to understand, not having seen anything that answers the description within the store). Downstairs your Odyssey continues. Prices are reasonable.

    What To Buy: Everything from garage sale type items to authentic knick-knacks to original western novels, the Country Corner has a huge assortment.

    What To Pay: everything in Guthrie is generally reasonably priced
