Most Beautiful Park in the lower 48 states

It Doesn't Get Better Than This

West Glacier entrance sign
From the moment you enter the area, the glacial-green waters of creeks and rivers almost overawe the eye with their uniqueness and beauty. The forests here are intense. The mountains are broad-shouldered and overlook every lake and waterway. Snowmelt in the highcountry provides as many cascades as you'll find in Yosemite Valley, while the array of wildlife is much richer and more diverse here than in California. Mountain goats, bighorn, grizzly and black bears, elks, mule deer, coyotes, wolves and foxes are possible spectators to your every move.

I've seen beautiful mountain lakes in many states, but none seem to compare with those you find here. The opportunities for gorgeous photography are nowhere more concentrated in the lower 48 states. Whether you enter from the east side or the west, Lake McDonald and St Mary Lake are equally qualified to take your breath away as fabulous hosts and ushers into the interior.

If you have only one choice for a lifetime vacation, you can't go wrong in selecting this corner of the country. This is after all Montana -- Sky's the Limit!
