A Miniature Sabine on Lake Charles' East Side

Cameron Prairie is a wildlife refuge much smaller than Sabine but established for the same purpose, to preserve a good portion of the local wetlands and the manifold species of wildlife that reside there. Once VT adds the site specific location for this refuge, this page will leave "Bell City" (the refuge's headquarters are located there) and move to its new home.

I'm so glad you have pages on this place! I had almost forgotten all about my trip down to Holly Beach where I counted 54 alligators in the canals on the way down. Thanks for the memories!

Great wildlife photos. I must get down to Louisianna soon--one of the few states that continues to elude me.
