Bright Light City Gonna Set My Soul...

Downtown on Freemont Street
The first time I went to Vegas, I was 18 and went with some friends who had been there once before. They thought they knew everything about the city and the entire time that I was there, they constantly bragged about their knowledge. Well, I am happy to say that I have now been back there 16 times and at last I can say that I believe I know everything there is about the strip and downtown-at least when it comes to tourism.

It Really IS All It's Cracked Up To Be

I love Vegas. I love everything it has to offer. I like the shows (seen most of them), the hotels (been in almost all of them), the shopping (spent way too much money), and the food. I like Vegas in the summer when it's hotter than blazes and the tourists pack in like sardines, in the spring when there's still a bit of a nip in the air, and in the winter when the rates fall down and it feels like we're the only people there.

My Favorite Hotels

1) Mandalay Bay- don't let the distance turn you off!

2) Aladdin- GREAT bathrooms and a good shopping mall (Hello Betsey Johnson!!)

3) Flamingo- good swimming pool

4) Harrah's- excellent location

5) Rio- gotta love the big rooms and sweeping windows

Pros:"It's cheap, it's entertaining, and everything is larger than life."
Cons:"It can get hot in the summer and very crowded."
In A Nutshell:"Everyone should go once in their life."

I'm planning a trip back to my favorite fantasy city and getting an early start by visiting VT pages. Great tips. I love Cheesecake Factory and Rio Seafood Buffet, will have to try some of the other places to eat.
