The Dubrovnik castle
Everything you've heard about Dubrovnik is true. It truly is an amazing place. It's almost completely recovered from the war and you have to look really hard to even see any traces that it was even ever there to begin with. The architecture is gorgeous, the water perfectly blue, and there is a general laid back atmosphere that makes it a good place to relax. It's still inexpensive by Western European standards and if you plan it right you can stay in very nice accommodations and have excellent meals for very little money.

I had pasta with salmon sauce in Spaghetteria Tony in July 2006 and still remember how great, unpretentious and inexpensive it was. I hope it is still as good as it was!
