My sweet, indulgent husband allowed me to pick our honeymoon location. After years of longing to visit the island of the Pitons, I finally got to book our vacation. After much research, I booked us a short stay at the Ti Kaye Village. I wish we could have stayed longer, it was so beautifully situated. Individual bungalows with outdoor showers, four post beds with mosquito netting, ac, a private little pool, a lovely porch with a sea view and a hammock for two. It was terrific. Except there were no actual windows, just blinds, and the frogs at night made such a racket. The hotel itself had a outdoor dining area and bar near the pool. The food was delicious, although there weren't many selections. At most 3 entree options, but they changed nightly. A lot of people have raved about the staff, but we weren't given fantastic or horrible service, just service. No complaints. |

We visited the volcano, Ladera Resort, botanical gardens, Castries, and sailed around the west coast from Ti Kaye south to the Pitons. We did some snorkeling in the bay below the hotel. Not terribly impressive. The Florida Keys have better snorkeling, but it was still interesting. |
