A Week in Tuscany

by Erin09340 - last update: Jan 5, 2007

Radda in Chianti

We decided that the most cost effective way for six women to stay in Tuscany was to rent a place. We found the Angolino Villa. I cannot say enough good things about this place. It was beautiful, so clean, easily accessible to town, etc, etc.
Cortona

Exploring the Countryside.

With a week's visit, we decided to rent cars. We visited Pisa, Radda in Chianti, Castellina, San G., Volterra, Siena, Cortona, and Florence. We didn't drive to either Siena or Florence. For the former, we took a bus and for the latter, a train. While a car was certainly convenient, and really not that expensive, driving could be challenging with all the narrow winding roads. It also puts a great deal of stress on the driver, especially when only one knows how to drive stick.
a virtual requirement of visiting Pisa, I think
