We went to Venice with my parents for two days, just after Christmas. It was quite chilly, but as beautiful as ever. We stayed at the Hotel Fontana, a recommendation from Rick Steves' book. |
|  | We visited all the tradional sites, the Basilica and St. Marks Square, the Rialto Bridge, the Doge's Palace. Poor Doge hardly got out of the Palace at all according to our guide. |

Nice tips. I agree that the restaurants in Venice coulb be disappointing and most of the cases - overpriced. |
