This is my most ambitious project yet on VT. Banff is such an extraordinary place that words and photos cannot hope to do justice to the magnitude of this part of the Canadian Rocky Mountains. I hope my record of my time in the mountains will inspire you to experience it for yourself one day.
Most of the scenic tips are listed under "must see" and are in the same chronological order that I saw the sights myself; the wildlife is in the "local customs" category; "off the beaten path" is reserved for flowers and plantlife; and while I do not wish to be a nag and a scold, the "warnings and dangers" are particularly important in my mind. |

Tomas Eriksson :) | 807Wheaton Wed May 13, 2009 15:01 UTC Yes, we too encountered snow several times during our drives between Banff and Jasper. All the drainage from the glaciers creates that beautiful blue water - truly a travel treat.
