Mt. Rainier's ever present snow dome
It is hard for me to believe that it has been 17 years since I visited Mt. Rainier with my sister in 1987. This was the first national park that I truly visited (got out of the car and hiked around). If you are ever in the Seattle area and the weather breaks--I'd recommend at least a daytrip to Mt. Rainier. It is a massive mountain and the scenery changes around each corner.

Unfortunately, I was a pathetic photographer at the time, so this page will be short and sweet. I'd like to go back in July or August some year and explore the alpine lakes and meadows strewn with wildflowers.

Did not know this was here. My instincts tend toward Olympic and N Cascades for Washington State, also another place I have never been. Still, gotta love these mountains.
