"Very Iowa" Waverly by zrim

Waverly Travel Guide: 3 reviews and 4 photos

Waverly is hardly a tourist destination. It is not on a major highway, has little in the way of historic landmarks, is easily overshadowed by the neighboring towns of Cedar Falls and Waterloo. So how did I come to spend two nights in Waverly? Well, it all has to do with my part-time job which required this particular trip to Iowa.

Nice vignette of Waverly and the excitement of life in Iowa's wide expanses! Nice to see some information on this 'blank' spot on the map!

I've been told to get myself to Davenport (so I can list all the National Historic Places. . .). I've spent very little time in Iowa but I'm sure it isn't too different from Midwestern towns everywhere.

Waverly looks like a great place for ducks. But I'm not sure I would want to spend a 3 week vacation there....
