"Not our most ostentatious national park" Saguaro National Park by zrim
Saguaro National Park Travel Guide: 213 reviews and 556 photos
Until recently this park was a National Monument which seemed to suit this protected habitat of the giant saguaro cactus. The landscape is eerily beautiful and the saguaro is indeed an awesome piece of vegetation. However, there is nothing spectacular about this park that would place it in the same echelon as the great national parks such as Yellowstone, Glacier or Big Bend.

We're going to be in Aizona in a few days and thought we would pop over to this park. thanks for the tips :)
We're going to Tucson for Christmas and hope to visit Saguaro. Wish we could be there for the cactus bloom.
So this is what the zrimster has been up to:) I wouldn't want to be near one of those babies when it WAS full :) Sorry we missed you -- next time for sure!
A very good tips! It was the first of many US National parks I visited and I liked there a lot! If I only meet a mountain lion (puma)... :-)
Not the splendor of the Grand Canyon, eh?
