Endless Prairie

by zrim - last update: Jun 9, 2004

fields, lots of fields
I'm a big fan of Saskatchewan. On first glance, it appears to be a huge wasteland. Mile after mile of flat terrain. But I find the place fascinating. There aren't any surprises around the next bend in the road--because the road never bends. But that doesn't mean there aren't hidden gems in vast tracts of endless prairie.

Nicely peopled (or birded) page about the middle of nowhere. Thought about piercing S province during my drive in E Montana but instead drove into North Dakota.

I never knew about these Salt Lakes....I guess when I passed through Saskatchewan back in the 80's I didn't stop to smell the roses! I love the grain elevators! They are the skyline of the Prairie!!
