Verona is the real deal

by zrim - last update: May 16, 2003

Venice is a pretty cool city with the absense of autos and the gondoliers and such. But Verona is the real deal in northern Italy. I would happily spend weeks, if not months or even years in this place. Check out my tips and I'll show you what I mean.

Having spent most of my time in Verona in the car park, a result of some dodgy food at Cinque Terre, I'm entitled to view Verona in poor light (just like that inside the toilet!) but I loved what I saw and am returning, egged on by your enthusiastic page.

I,too, loved Verona. You've done a great job giving the texture and "color" of the city. The people there were so kind to us. It was the 1st city we visited in Italy and we ate at one of the best, small osterias there.
