Casablanca has grown by leaps and bounds since Morocco gained independence from French colonial rule. It is the center of business in Morocco and there are plenty of trendy hotels and smartly dressed businesspeople. But the city itself is not for the traveler. Only a place to embark on adventures to the more alluring imperial cities such as Fes, Rabat and Marrakesh or maybe even a journey over the High Atlas to the edges of the Saharra. |
