Lots of interesting sights in Rabat, but it is a manageable city. The medina is small enough so you cannot get lost. The touts want to drum up your business, but not in an overwhelming way as in Fes or Marrakesh. There are palaces and ruins and an intersting burial shrine dedicated to Mohammed V. Lots to see, but in a relaxed way allowing the visitor to get his or her bearings prior to the chaos awaiting in the great imperial cities.
