Phuket is very commercial: lots of resorts, lots of traffic, lots of tourists, lots of t-shirt shops. But yet, Phuket is Thailand and as such it is also: very beautiful, very hot, and to me, very exotic.

Pros and Cons

Pros:It is Asia, good food, good fun, good people
Cons:noise and traffic
In a nutshell:It is Thailand, what's not to like

Another cool page of Phuket with tantalizing photos. Yes, I agree that gibbons with their long arms should be swinging from trees to tress in the jungle. In Borneo, orangutan babies have been made into "pets".

it looks so amazing its awful to think of a tsunami there. What gorgeous pictures you've taken though, i hope elephants are ok too coz they're such goregeous creatures (im afraid i dont quite have the sentiments about jellyfish LOL)...thanks, roz
