| | Quick Synopsis Saint Pierre and Miquelon are two small islands located off the south coast of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada but they are actually owned by France.
When you realize how close it is to Newfoundland and Labrador you would think that it would be similiar but you will learnt differently. I was on holidays in July of 2006 in St. John's, Newfoundland so as a side trip me and my brother in law took a side trip to these French islands.
The following pages include my pictures and tips! Happy travels! |
| | Thoughts on Saint Pierre and Miquelon As I mentioned earlier the islands are not like Newfoundland and Labrador. Well expect for one exception the weather would have to be similiar, but otherwise expect french language, food, style, architechure, atmosphere, vehicles and so on.
I was delighted to get an international experience so close to home and if your visiting the island of Newfoundland I think you too will find it good value to do an excursion into France.
Overall I was very impressed with the way they remain distinct and proud on this tiny island in the North Atlantic ocean.
