Water Taxis Water/Boat Review

If you want to get to a lot of the small secluded beaches on the south side of Banderas Bay you can use a water taxi. There are no roads to places like Yelapa.

Just go to Los Muertos Pier in Puerto Vallarta and water taxi is one of the more affordable options for getting to these areas.

Local Transit Bus/Transit Review

The cheapest way to get around is by bus. I have to admit I wouldn't have taken the bus if we didn't have a guide that told us when to jump on and when to jump off.

But if you have time to research it, know spanish, have the patients, this is by far the cheapest, you are just talking a few pesos and you get to meet lots of locals!!

I remember the bus driver being crazy and the the roads although paved, you can expect to be bumped around a lot on these old buses.

Consider it an amusement park ride maybe?

Great Cruise Ship Destination Water/Boat Review

If you are planning a cruise but this Puerto Vallarta is a place you want to visit, I can tell you it is a very popular cruise ship destination, so that won't be a problem either.

I am sure there are hundreds of different operators going into this port. I just provided the web address for one of them.

I have to say if I were going on a cruise this would be a great place to stop in and visit for the shopping, downtown, the Malecon and the excersion opportunities!

It's something to consider for sure when your planning a cruise. Where will we be stopping? :-(

Air Transat Airplane Review

I got to Puerto Vallarta on Air Transat, it was an all inclusive package from $1200 CDN by airfare, meals and accommodations were all included from Edmonton, Alberta.

It was a great deal I though, including transfers to and from the airport.

This tip may only be relevant if you are leaving from Canada. I know there are many other major carriers going into airport.

If you can wait until last minute I know there were some people that stayed an extra 7 days and paid only half what I did!!!!

Bucerias to Downtown Peurto Vallarta Taxis Review

When in Peurto Vallarta the cab fares are all in zones. For example from the Royal Decameron Complex in Bucerias to downtown Peurto Vallarta, it is 150 Pesos but the fact of the matter is pertend not to want a cab and one or two bored cabbies will bring you there for 100. It's the same thing trying to get back to Bucerias from PV. It's like everything else in Mexcio:.....NEGOTIABLE!! :-)
