Restaurant Name: Battle Harbour Dining Area

There are a couple of things I really liked about eating on Battle Harbour island but its neat to know up front.

There isn't a menu. For breakfast, lunch and dinner there is a set menu that everyone eats. The food in my opinion is as good as you will find and I have every found to date.

It is all local and traditional dishes that add again to the character of this destination.

The chef however is also very accomodating so you if have special needs or concerns they will be sure to do there best!

The other option for eating on the island is to do your own cooking in your respective guest house however I highly recommend the meals.

Some highlights for me were the fresh caplin, salmon and cod fish. On Sunday you will get a traditional Labrador what is called a "Sunday" or sometimes referred to as "Jiggs" dinner and this is my personal favorite!!!!

Favorite Dish: Caplin is a very common and traditional meal you can try in Battle Harbour.

They are generally served dried or fried up fresh in a pan. Personally I like them fresh and fried myself, they are a lot like a smelt that way.
