Halifax and Canada doesn't end here :-) |
| Me at Citadel Hill with Clock Tower in the back. |
| | Quick Synopsis I have visited the Halifax airport on numerous occassions travelling through but on a few other occassions I have travelled travelled to Halifax for work and have explored around a little.
I just mention in the title that Canada doesn't end because there is a local feeling in Newfoundland and Labrador sometimes that federal organization act as if Canada does end in Halifax.
The community settled by Colonel Edward Cornwallis (and 2500 others) was christened 'Halifax' in honour of Lord Halifax, President of the British Board of Trade in 1749. |
| | Thoughts on Halifax Halifax is a beautiful city and it certainly has an Atlantic feel to it. I have always enjoyed the waterfront and the downtown area has some great food and places to have a good time.
You'll enjoy the local lobster and if your into gambling there is a big casino. |
