| | Quick Synopsis Welcome to my Toronto page. Toronto has more than 100 cultures so I thought on my locator map, I'd stick a photo from the Royal Ontario Museum to give you a sense that Toronto is a very multi-cultural city. Anybody can post a picture of the CN Tower, LOL.
Usually for me I would only fly through Toronto but recently finally got to explore the streets and get a better feel for the place. Here are just some quick stats from torontotourism.com.
Toronto is Canada's largest city, with a population of 4.7 million, its the 5h-largest city in North America, after Mexico City, New York, Los Angeles and Chicago. One-quarter of Canada's population is located within 160 km (100 mi.) and more than 60% of the population of the USA is within a 90-minute flight. As the capital of Ontario, Toronto is the seat of government for Canada’s most populous province and is the industrial and business centre for the country. It's also home to things like the Toronto Maple Leafs, Hockey Hall of Fame and the CN Tower.

| | Thoughts on Toronto Toronto is multi-cultural but during my most recent stay I learned that it is also a very trendy centre where the pulse of Canada can be felt. Although Ottawa is teh capital of the country many of the Canadian instutitions and corporations are headquartered in Toronto.
Although it is a big big city, the downtown region is possible to navigate on foot or short cab rides depending on your budget, time and the weather.
I enjoyed the trendy Yorkville district where you really get the feel of being in a swanky area with lots of fashion and if you are going to see the movie stars in Toronto its probably going to be in this area. I was just enroute to a recommended breakfast place in the district and was 99% positive I walked right past one of the famous Olson Twins, Mary Kate and a second person. Not being into the pop culture really or not knowing what to talk about, I starred for a second and then just kept moving to my breakfast place, lol.
I hope you enjoy my tips but I am happy I finally got a better feel for
