Route 174, Metro Bus
I am not a big fan of using public busing but Seattle has a fairly good system. In the downtown core you can hope on and off the buses for free and outside of that specific zone it just jumps to $1.25 and then $2 something if you leave city limits. I thought it was very cheap.
I used it one morning and hoped on it at Second Avenue and Forth. This bus brings you to the airport and I can tell you it stops directly in front of the Museum of Flight; this was the reason for my journey.
My particular driver wasn't full of personality but I am sure most of them are. I can also tell you on the bus system you will experience some more interesting characters from all walks of life!
Here is the web site address so you can get more detail on the specific routes.

Greyline Bus at Mt. St. Helen's Observatory.
You might want to check out there web site before you go to Seattle for some getting around ideas.
They have a service from the airport, there is a hop on hop off double decker pass you could get and then there were several package tours you could do of the city or places like Mount St. Helen's and Rainer.
I really enjoyed the Mount St. Helen's tour but I have used Gray Line a few times now in different cities and I have to say I like it now.
If your in a city for a few days its a great way to either get oriented or to get outside the city and see what else is out there near by.

Me on the Bainbridge Island ferry.
With my Go Seattle Card I was entitled to a free Argosy Cruise but based on everything I was trying to do the May schedule and I never connected. I was determined to get a view of Seattle from the water so I overheard someone mention they were catching the ferry on my tour back from Mount St. Helen’s. This family living on Bainsbridge Island let me just run and follow them. We were running to catch the 6:20 ferry. It was less than $5 for the round trip. It was about 30 minutes over, 15 minutes in port and 30 minutes back .
Most of the people on the ferry were commuters who worked in Seattle. On board there was plenty of room for seating and give observation areas. It looked like there was even wireless internet onboard. It got a little windy out on Elliot Bay that day and was a little chilly. But in the end I got what I was looking for and that was a great view of Seattle from the water.
During that time of day the ferry was busy. For example the family I chased on board, I never seen them at all on the boat! On board there were also come characters from medieval times playing violins and acting. I am not sure if this was a daily activity or I just got on at an odd time when these guys were passing through?

Horse and Carriage in Seattle
I never really see the value of renting a horse and buggy. They are slow and not necessarily going anywhere. I guess if you just want to relax and there is a romance factor attached to it I guess. Probably most romantic at night.
So here you are I came across them in a couple of different locations downtown. They are easy to find and you can knock your socks off. Have fun watching the horse crap in front of you when it needs to, LOL.

Monorail tracks with Space Needle in the back.
If you are exhausted the way I was from walking a lot of Seattle the Monorail is a very quick way to get from the core of downtown over to the Space Needle and Seattle Center.
It was just $1.50 one way and it is very quick back and forth and I liked the views you got from above.
I found two web sites online, one for the existing system and another for the expansion. Apparently expansion of the Monorail is a hotly debated topic in Seattle.
In any event I appreciated the quick ride back downtown and you might too. Check it out!
