Another funny thing I came across in New York City. This place was shut down by a court order for unauthorized massage. I will let your mind wonder what that was all about, you will be sure to see all your own funny New York quirks!

SUV City / Stainless Steel Trees?

I was just fresh off watching the Al Gore epic "An Inconvenient Truth" prior to travelling to New York and I took notice to all the SUV's in the city. They were everywhere and I don't understand why because a small car would be much more convenient. I assume it is a status thing and in th eend these gas guzzler's are polluting the atmosphere above Manhattan.

For humor and irony in Madison Square Park New York native Roxy Paine is bringing his stainless-steel tree sculptures to Madison Square Park as a form of public art. I have a picture provided here for you but is this what the world is coming too possibly?

Stainless steel trees? Whose idea was this?

All jokes aside the new age trees look pretty sleek if you ask me.

The Naked Cowboy

I always enjoy my journeys because you just never know what you are going to see on the city street of planet earth. New York did not disappoint and here right in the middle of time square you will find a Naked Cowboy playing a guitar and plenty of tourists wanting to get their pictures taken.

Everybody has to make a living and I wonder how he does at this. Hmmm?

NYPD

There is nothing to fear my freinds.

The New York Police Department is a famous police department often dramatized in movies and popular television shows. All over the city you will see hats and shirts with NYPD on them. During my visit they were present all over the place whether it was in cars, on foot, in helicopters and even horses.

I got the feeling at least that security is much tighter in New York than it would have been prior to 9/11. Out at the Statue of Liberty you will find Park police as well. During my visit to the Statue of Liberty there was a 5 minute period where we counted 6 helicopters in the area at once! I am not sure what was up?
