Skagway is a great little port town in Alaska, USA and very busy in the summer months when the cruise ships come out in full force.
Skagway is a short drive from Whitehorse, Yukon and a very scenic! Great mountains, gorges, bridges, lakes, old mining shafts and winding train tracks within the mountains!
Skagway is a quiet little town but much busier during the summer cruise ship season. It was very quiet during my visit but a nice ittle town to walk around in.
- Pros:Scenary, Scenary, Scenary!
- Cons:They board the place up in the winter when the cruise ships are not in!

Thanks for sharing all your experiences in Skagway. I'll be heading up there in the 2nd week of July.
Moes Frontier Bar has been closed!!!! It's sad...as this bar was the real local hang out of Skagway. Now you may find many locals at the Skagway Pizza Station and at the Eagles and Elks Halls.
Don't apologise for covering the cemetery. How a society deals with and pays homage to their dead is every bit as much a part of their culture as their art, literature, and cuisine. Good show, Jamie!
wonderfull page - i love those bars - lol :-)
Jamie, another top notch epic of the world beyond our normal way of life. Could be another place to visit, never been north of Jasper. My loss eh?
Great page ! i love your tips and the pictures... i hope i will visit alaska one day
Jamie, this is the first review of a brothel I have seen on VT! Does your wife know where you visit??? ;-). Actually, excellent photos and tips. Thanks.
Jamie, this is a must see destination for my wife and I. We are hoping to cruise in and drive out in 2006. I hope you enjoy the rockies in Alberta...you should try and make it to Waterton though!
