My memories of Caterbury or very faint now but I remember exploring around the streets and seeing the beautiful cathedral. It was a very nice British town. Here was my EF Itinerary on that tour:
Day-by-Day Itinerary Day 1-2 : Fly through the night to England. Land in London and meet your EF Tour Director on Day 2. On our EF walking tour of the original City of London, pass a statue of Charles I facing the site of his own execution. Day 3-4 : Drive past Hyde Park during your guided tour of London and see Speaker's Corner, where the Tyburn gallows once stood. Continue through Piccadilly Circus and stop outside of Buckingham Palace, where you might see the changing of the guard ceremony (seasonal). You'll also visit St. Paul's Cathedral. On Day 4, stop in Canterbury, destination of Chaucer's pilgrims, and marvel at the White Cliffs of Dover as you take a fast ferry across the English Channel.
Day 5-6 : A local guide brings you inside the Notre Dame Cathedral, and then introduces you to the sights of Paris, including the Eiffel Tower and the Conciergerie. Opt later to visit Versailles, designed for Louis XIV to incite the envy of his royal peers. On Day 6, stroll past La Madeleine and the Opera House and step inside the Louvre on a walking tour.
Day 7-9 : Board a high-speed train bound for the French Riviera. Day 8 begins with an excursion to Monaco, an independent principality known for its casino and Royal Family. Tour a perfume factory in the cliff-top village of Eze. Then visit Nice, where your tour director leads a sightseeing stroll through the Old Town and along the seaside Promenade des Anglais on Day 9. Later, join our optional excursion to medieval St. Paul de Vence and the Maeght Foundation.
Day 10-12 : Continued on to Geneva, London and home! |
