Quick Synopsis

Plaza de Toros

I got to Sevilla, Spain as a chaperon for a small group of high school students who where on an EF Tour. I am not a teacher, I just simply organized it and they came!

Sevilla is located in the Andalucia region and we got there from Madrid via bus through Cordoba. It was around supper time before we rolled into Sevilla for the night.

Rain is very rare in these parts of Spain really but we did experience it off and on during our visit.

Thoughts on Sevilla

Sevilla is a great city with a great atmosphere and there is no lack of things to see and do. Everything from the Plaza de Espana, the Plaza de Toros, the world's 3rd largest cathedral and the list goes on!

I remember enjoying getting there that night and running out to sample some tapas. Then rushing back to the hotel and off to see some excellent flamenco.

The next day then in a hotel with character I will say we explored around to the main sights of the city! The architecture in Sevilla was amazing and you could feel this was a very cultural city.

Pros and Cons

Pros:The culture and history!
Cons:The day I visited it rained but I am sure you can expect it to be hot normally!!
In a nutshell:I would return to watch an actual bull fight!

Seville is a lovely city, the Plaza d' Espana was actually used in one of the recent Star Wars prequels! It's always been baking hot when I have been. Nice page!

a city I love,even the word "sevilla" :-)....your tip about catedral stairs to climb doesn't look accurate:it's a corridor without any stairs at all,so riders were able to climb to the top on horseback!

I,too, loved Spain and found old Sevilla to be remarkable and romantic. Great write-ups on hotel, Flamenco, and shopping. A wealth of info in travelogues...dynamic photos too!
