Me outside a garden in the middle of a desert
An oasis in the middle of the desert, Vegas doesn't disappoint when it comes to weather - in May the temperature is in the 80-90's.

Gambling

As everyone knows, Las Vegas is an excellent place to part with your money...but the omnipresence of the opportunities can be oppressive at times. I mean where else can you gamble in New York, Paris, Venice, and ancient Rome....

Alternate activities

Aside from gambling, there are a plethora of activities to keep you busy and without sleep. World class restaurants and shows, trips to the Canyon area, helicopter rides of the strip, laying by the pool...

 Hi, P1910, I found you on the eGullet thread of Michael Ruhlman's book. (I'm a Legacy Participant, and proud of it.) I think the name of this restaurant is Canaletto. It's one of my favorites: get Vito to wait on you (he's Italian). Ciao for now!

 That sure is some tender beef. Sounds like you had some great food there with very different ambience. So far ...eating and sleeping:-).. I haven't even done that in LV yet :-)
