Nightlife Spot: Jo's Bar
True this tends to be full of tourists, a place where you wont be far away from a North American accent but I like this place all the same. The downstairs only opens once a month these days, but if you can grab a table near overllooking the square then you have the best of both worlds, and opens late

Nightlife Spot: U Pinkasu
My personal favourite of the Brew Pub category, U Pinkasu is a large place over several floors, with an outside garden to boot. We sat within the typical bar area to the right (where all the beer flows through one guy who works his socks off!) among what looked loike mostly regulars. The beer was great and not overpriced given this is bang in the centre. We liked it so much we stayed here for several hours.

Nightlife Spot: L'Enfer Rouge
The name may have changed, but definitely 'Deja vu', as nothing remotly had changed since the last time I was here in Oct 04 - and there a cryptic clue in the nightlife heading!. Not a place for the sophisticated by any means, but definitely a hit for me! - Spent a couple of hours here sat at the bar and then low and behold the barman tries to slip me a pint (or should that be half a litre) of slops! - haha was he embarrassed when I pulled him up (I could even understand his cursing in french lol). Ok we moved on but no doubt I will return again. Although this place gets a good crowd, never overpacked even though its just behind the Old Town Square - maybe people find it a little tricky to find - well I do after several drinks!

Nightlife Spot: Sports Bar Zlata Hvezda
Being in Prague for the FA Cup Final, I looked around before travelling for a place to watch it, deciding that the 'usual suspects' would be overflowing, and I came across this place and after visiting the website, seeing it was a little way off from Wenceslas Square thought it may be a good option. Arriving around an hour before kick off the place was dead, the beer tasted crap, and there was no bog paper in the mens toilets!. 1drink and a quick exit ending up in Rocky O'Reillys. Just goes to show you cant rely on a well put together website - dont bother theres plenty of better places.

Shamrock Irish bar: What? Another Irish Bar!!!

Nightlife Spot: Shamrock Irish bar
I noticed whilst walking upto the Muzeum metro station, a new Bar to me with a happy hour board 3-6pm 2 for 1 beer, so as it was bang on 3, thought why not! The Shamrock was previously the Jagr Bar, I hadnt been there, but has been open as the Shamrock for 6 months. Four big screens on a central pillar, tvs all around and pretty busy for a Wednesday afternoon, after 8 pints for 280kr well pleased! - I expected to watch the Lyon v Man Utd game at Rocky O'Reillys on the night but when I went the Man Utd game was only on in the smaller bar, no big screen, so sod it went straight back here and had a great night.
