There is nothing more beautiful in the world than this cliff with the spring of water rushing up out from deep within the earth.
I said to my friend, the Canadian poet - Now I understand cathedrals.
And he said - But nature has the best ideas.
You just can't get it in a photo - it is way too big.
But oh dear me it is beautiful.

The water rushes up from the earth at the Buna Spring. I have also seen this at the Pupu Springs near Nelson in New Zealand. It always seems like a miracle, the water is so cold and clear and abundant, pouring forth like a gift.

Think I might have gone a bit nuts. Something about all that water gushing forth. As I live in Australia and we have been gripped by drought I did find B&H to be extraordinarily prodigal with water. I was born in New Zealand and some ancestral memory must have surfaced and I behaved like a child.
