The Square Colosseum in EUR - acronym for Esposizione Universale Romana. An interesting suburb in Roma.
If you liked the movie Titus Andronicus by Julie Taymor - you might want to make a pilgrimage to see it - like my husband did.
- Pros:I am so curious about Italy - it is a mysterious place.
- Cons:It is not always possible to love Italy.
- In a nutshell:I received my permesso di soggiorno 14 months after I applied for it.

"young waiter running around like a flea in a fit"!!!
You sure have a way with words!
Must try out Brek!
Till recently I thought the Green Man was only a UK-Medieval-church thing. Now I know I'm wrong, and have found him in almost all the European Medieval churches I've visited. he meant a lot to ordinary folk, I think. J
Oh yes, an ascent to San Marino would be a highlight of your next sojourn in Italia, Jen..
I always read your tips word for word for fear I will miss something...so much fun to read; your insights are remarkable. Excellent pages and informative, helpful tips.
Haha, most of your tips might as well apply to France, validating train tickets, expensive restaurant in the train, bidet (though now only in older hotels), dinner at a private home would be exactly the same, hair tip too!
Hey, Jen - no bidet experience - ever? Some Italian women are seriously involved w/their bidet - only hearsay, you know! Good fun here. Ciao, Carol <(•¿•)>
Through your tips I've learned a new word today, "abstemious". I'll have to look at all your local custom pages, they're great.
Great transportation tips. ~
Hilarious account of your Italian adventure. What strange customs they have it seems!!I am also vegetarian-though this is a plus in India of course.
Love the bidet/laundry! Your pages crack me up! :-)
