What a lovely little city. It is one of the goldfields towns of regional Victoria. So many grand old buildings, built with gold money. Wonderful laid back atmosphere. Friendly locals. It's set up for tourists but not crowded out with them.
Loved this shabby old church I came upon as I was walking from the station into town.
I sensed so much civic pride. The place was as neat as a new pin, all prettified up. Behind this nice avenue of young trees is the entrance to the supermarket.
- Pros:Lovely place to live and a lovely place to visit.
- Cons:None.

Yes, the Goldfields area has some grand old building, you must try to get to Maldon also. Public transport isn't the best, maybe there is a business oportunity for someone to do a day trip from Daylesford to these towns.
