Tourist Trap: All in a days work

    • The changing of hte guard is not necessarily a tourist trap but it can seem like that when you are surrounded by throngs of people all crowded together. Tons of people seemed to crowd around and get photographs of this small routine. I think it is more of an annoyance really, there is no line that separates how far you can get to the gaurds so they are patient enough to let people get right up next to them for photos. It can take away from the over all experience.

    At Least Do This: If you are going to the castle and it is about that time (on the hour) do stay and watch the ceremony. But you may get a better view of the entire thing from the stairs just in front of the Schwarzenberg Palace, in front of the gates.

    • The Prague Castle is very popular with tourists and rightfully so. Inside the grounds on the Golden Lane it is a very narrow alleyway that everyone wants to get a look at. It is worth going to see it but just prepare yourself for many others like you to surround the houses and shops.
