Restaurant Name: Kampa Park
This was the best place I ate at while in Prague. Frequented by many upscale Hollywood and Czech clientele this restaurant has a great atmosphere and wonderful views of Old Town from its riverfront dining room. This dining experience is simiar to what you will find at a few other restaurants in Prague. Try also Hergetova Cihelna, Cihelna 2B (www.cihelna.com), Coda, Aria Hotel Trziste 9 (www.codarestaurant.com), Square Malostranske namesti 5/28 (www.squarerestaurant.cz).
Favorite Dish: Every dish is incredibly prepared and presented. Some of the dishes are local Czech variations and others have more of an international flare to them. You will not be disappointed.

Peklo Restaurant: Historic Cellar

Restaurant Name: Peklo Restaurant
The restaurant sits in the once used wine cellar of the Premonstratensian order of Strahov Monastary. It is situated under the monastic "Paradise" gardens which is why it is named "peklo" or hell. The atmosphere is dark but lit well with candles and lights throughout. There are some small fountains inside and the main bar room is used for large parties.
Favorite Dish: I tried a few things on the menu and all were very good. Again I don't think you will be dissapointed. They have some local Czech wines which were really good and we also tried the local herbed liquor. Definitely an acquired taste. Definitely give it a try if you are exploring Petrin Park or Strahov Monastary.

Address: Strahovske nadvori 1/132
Directions: If you are visiting Strahov Monastary walk up the tiny path to the right, if you are facing the front facade. It is just a little bit up the hill but it has no imposing sign. There are a few footpath signs as you walk up the road.

Restaurant Name: Chez Marcel
There are a few of these restaurants in Prague in different areas. They have French decor and the staff is very helpful. They are bright and airy inside and the food is great.
