There are some entertainers that are actually quite good. As you listen to them, you can hear the passion they have for their instrument or craft. As I was walking around most of the heavily trafficked areas there would be numerous street performers in wild costume or make-up. Some were there simply to make you laugh.

One of the things about street performers is that they love their songs, love to share their talents (figurative and actual). When walking around the Barri Gotic hearing old traditional songs of Catalunya really sets the tone for the area, and echoes down the back alleyways.

This is a traditional Spanish rice dish which is prepared in an number of ways. It can be mixed with different types of vegetables and meats, seafood only, Valencia style (with chicken and vegetables), or vegetarian. There are different types of rice you can have with it as well. All of them are great and a good meal to keep you going as you tour the city. It is usually a thick rice platter that is usually still sizzling when it comes out. The bring the skillet out to you when you are served.

The local beer is fairly good and is worth a try. I am not an expert on beers but it was palatable and didn't detract from the food in any way. You can either have it from the tap, in its own glass or you can have it from the bottle.
