Town Center homes-Katowice, Poland - Poland

Not Enough Time...

When I came to Poland it was with a friend of mine and for only a day. We came by way of overnight train from Berlin and returned the same way. Katowice was the first town we stopped in to change trains. It wasn't until our return trip that we were able to see what a neat city this was. The architecture is very interesting and there are many things to be seen. Unfortunately we didn't have enough time to see them all in our stop over back to Berlin. But I hope in the near future I will be able to return to see some of the great culutre and landscapes this country has to offer.

Oswiecim

Oswiecim train station-Oswiecim, Poland

The concentration camps of Auschwitz and Birknau were where our destination was going to lead us. We wanted to see this important area of history that has affected so many. It was moving and very incredible. Since this was the main area I visited while in Poland it is all that is included in this page. It is in the "Must See" section. I think it is an important part of world history and should be remembered. None of the pictures that were taken were intended to be offensive in anyway to the memory of those that endured that place. But I wanted to present them to others to encourage them to visit the site as well.

I agree with Alicja. And Warsaw and many other cities are worth visiting as well. Yours is not really a Poland but an Oswiecim (Auschwitz) page.

Auschwitz is a very important place but I hope you will be back to Poland one day and see our beautiful Cracow.
