Colima is one of the smallest states of Mexico and has one of the region's most active volcanos. On a drive from Guadelajara and Mazitlan, we stopped and enjoyed the smoke rising from its cone. Many earthquakes in the last few decades have left their marks, large damaged costal resorts still closed and over grown with vegetation, the owners just left.
