Palm Terraces area three-storey block that are just in the foreground of the picture on the main Hamilton Island page. The accommodation is in the 3 star range and is one of the cheaper options available on the resort. The rooms are spacious and comfortable - the one we were staying in had "his & hers: handbasins in the bathroom and lots of space for putting luggage etc. They also have balconies and you may get lucky and score a view, however some of them are obscured by the palm trees - not altogether a bad thing though!
Their aspect is East-facing which means that although you get the morning sun, there will not be fantastic opportunities to sit out on the balcony during the day as it got a bit cold in the shade when we were there.
All-in-all we decided that if it is your first trip and you have busy days planned out on tours, by the pool, bushwalking etc then you won't be spending much time in there anyway!!
