Alexandroupolis is the town that connects East with West...Europe with Asia...that means that the regions influences are mixed both from the European/Greek and Asian cultures. Since I lived there almost all of my life and I continue to visit through the seasonal holidays, I think summer is the best season to visit. Tourism is not the major point of Alexandroupolis, but as a tourist anyone can find that there are many positive aspects about this city. I might be a little biased but you can find really beautiful and most important clean beaches in the area of Alexandroupolis. The food is brilliant with all the little "tavernas" spreaded all around the city and the nearby villages. Living there doesn't make it special..but when you are away you know that someting is missing
