"6 Day Safari in 4 Tanzania Game Parks" Tanzania by VA_Dave

We did not have any reservations when we arrived in Tanzania. We were there during an off season called the "short rains" (but no rain this year), so it was easy to book on the spot. After interviewing several guides in Arusha, we selected Sunny Safaris (www.sunnysafaris.com) for a 6 day lodge safari because of their great prices and great guide (Balthazar). The two of us had our own vehicle (a pop top Land Cruiser) and the lodges we stayed had only a handful of guests. In 6 days we saw the Lake Manyara, Serengeti, Norongoro, and Tarangeri parks. Each was more wonderful than the other! Our guide seemed to have eyes in the back of his head and he could find game when none of the other guides could. Before the safari we climbed Kilimanjaro and afterward we went diving in Zanzibar.
- Pros:Wonderful people, beautiful scenery, and fantastic wildlife
- Cons:Poverty and very aggressive street hustlers
- In a nutshell:Trip of a lifetime

Great pictures! We are wanting to head to Tanzania this year. Thanks for the tips.
Hey Dave, you should pick up the Sept. Nat'l Geographic. Dedicated entirely to Africa! Interesting thing is there is no cover photo. They couldn't find one single image that could describe the complexity of that continent. Everyone should read this issue!
Only a few but Amazing photos... !!
