It's a smaller city of about 35,500 with some major companies with headquarters or offices here. It is the original home of Marathon Oil Company (now a part of USX). For those who know the song "Down By The Old Millstream" it was allegedly written here by Tell Taylor. It was a great city in which to grow up, but no really much to see as a tourist spot. I visit mainly to see family and friends and still own a home in a small village south of the town. It is a good central location for anyone wanting to visit multiple locations around northwest Ohio. |
