well came to agadir city.

300 days sonshine in agadir.

We are not going to say that Agadir is heaven, but we invite you to come and enjoy a nice weather and a mild temperature which remains constant throughout the year no matter what season it is. Agadir is known for its nice weather which makes of it one of the biggest and nearest touristic resorts to Europe.

Agadir, has been for a long time the port of Souss, the southern region of the country. It is a fertile region located between the High Atlas mountains which keep the Sahara off, and the Atlantic coast which helps keep the region warm in winter and cool in summer. Agadir is said to have been built by the Cartagians. Anyway it had been dominated by the Portuguese since the XIVth century.

To chase them off, the Saadians built a big Casbah and did their best to keep them away. The Casbah still stands majestically over a neighbouring hill. But when one closes his eyes and tries to imagine what Agadir may look like, all he sees is its 20 km - long beach. It is one of the most beautiful beaches in the country. Most hotels are few metres away from the beach. They nearly embrace the golden sand and the gentle breeze coming from far horizons.

Agadir was destroyed by an earthquake in 1960. The restoration and modernization started immediately and turned the destroyed sites into a real and beatiful piece of art. This can still be seen and felt through the famous MOHAMMED V - father of our nation - wish that is engraved upon a big wall in Agadir. It says " If fate has decided that Agadir should be destroyed, we will rebuild it depending on our faith and will". That famous wish came true and gave birth to a modern city.
