"San Antonio" San Antonio by Schasm

I have more respect for this city with each visit. San Antonio is the perfect size, and is still affordable. It's a nice destination for families, singles, and romantic couples. Best of all, the people here are incredibly friendly and beautiful!

The Alamo

Very accessible to everything, this historic monument is downtown within steps of most hotels and the riverwalk. It's truly "ground zero" for Texas Pride. It's not open evenings, so get there early if you want to see inside. Personally I think the building exterior is just as beautiful by itself in the night light...

The Riverwalk

Fun to people watch although it can get crowded with tourists, strollers, walkers and at night, drunks. It's a miracle more people don't wind up in the shallow river. Nevertheless, it's where most of the action in town is. Many hotels sit right on the riverwalk so accessibility is easy and rates are relatively affordable.
