Every Sept and/or Oct, San Francisco experiences it's warmest weather of the year. Locals joke that it's their "2 weeks of Summer". During this time, several street fairs pop up all over town. The most notable being the Castro Street Fair and Folsom.
Folsom Street Fair is quite a sight to see and participate in. Costumes (leather, fetish, etc...) are fun even if you're just there to watch.
Folsom is only one day long (Sunday). The fair can be "too much", even for San Franciscans. It's not for the timid or repressed... |
| | Only in San Fransisco... Cars made of Legos... Hmmm |
| | Again... only in San Francisco... A Cafe named "Squat and Gobble" and a Laundromat called "Sit and Spin"...
"Squat and Gobble" has great breakfast and "Sit and Spin" (for some reason) had guest appearances from Male Porn Stars (?)... Talk about 'dirty laundry'... |

CA_Dude Mon Sep 12, 2005 10:09 UTC You have the SF 2-week summer figured out... particularly on the foggy side of the city! What someone from Chicago would consider "real" summer weather can be as close as a ride inland on a BART train... in case of "emergency"... | hgchuy Wed Jul 13, 2005 23:54 UTC Nice pictures | tvdm Wed Jan 5, 2005 14:22 UTC Hey Mark! Loved the Sit 'n' Spin laundromat pic! Great way to 'unwind' during the Castro Street Fair :-) | littlesam1 Wed Dec 29, 2004 13:58 UTC I was in San Francisco three years ago. By chance it was the weekend of the Folsom Street Festival. It was wild! |
