Midwest Boy (now man), grew up in suburbs of Chicago and yearned to get out. Always a suburban boy, so unfortunately I have very few favorites to share about Chicago...I'm a suburban boy, not a city boy.

I went to college in Iowa CIty, Iowa...and liked it. Worked in Cleveland, Ohio for a year and LOVED it! (Some of the closest friends I have I met while there).

That same job in the Environmental Industry sent me to Orange County, California where I lived for 4 years. I learned all about SoCal and loved it. I even called Laguna Beach home for 2 years...and I'd be happy to share some of my Laguna secrets with you all...

However, now I'm back in the suburbs of Chicago, because even paradise can feel empty without FAMILY.

Needless to say, I travel whenever I get a chance. There is one good thing I find beneficial about living near Chicago...O'Hare. Living near one of the world's largest airports certainly helps with direct links to far away places at relatively low prices...

My list of favorites about Chicago is ridiculously long! One of my favorite places I have lived and a piece of my heart is still there. Perhaps you haven't had the right tour guide? ;-)
