It is praised in many songs and is probably the most famous of all rambling trails in Germany. Why do so many towns start with Bad? Bad is the German word for Bath or Spa. Towns beginning with Bad have a long tradition as healing spas and offer the visitor of today a combination of traditional and modern health treatment facilities.
