House Of LOZ-SHEEP

by ghweeh - last update: May 11, 2007

A bizarre picture for a traveling website?? I felt otherwise as I find it heartwarming; a swan's family outing on a blue-sky day with birds singing. This picture was done by an 8-years old and probably a reflection of the child’s state of mind.

This picture cheers me up and I hope it does the same for you too! ^_^

That explains its ‘guest-appearance’….for now.

=============================================================
It has been a long while since I updated this homepage. Partly due to the lack of time and new pictures available. Somehow, it has never been my habit to carry a camera around and captured anything that touches my eyes. To some extend, being “deprive” of traveling has affected my mood to write and left me “wordless”.

=============================================================

Good news is, I finally made a trip in January, traveling to Taipei and Yilan. More photos will be uploaded once the narrations are ready. Even though “a picture tells a thousand words”, I believe that a picture will be more meaningful with some words of thought. Unless, the readers are expected to make presumption.

Ovearall, it was a good trip; except some downside including not visiting any museums, yep, not even a single one. :( When we were at the Taipei Guogong Museum; we were blocked and there was a "troop" of press and security people. So we asked around and found out that Taiwan's Preisent was in the museum so everyone was just waiting outside for him to leave. By then, its too late and I wouldn't be able to cover the whole museum. As for the upside, the weather was good and food was delicious. And people were friendly and warmth. ^_^

Just some notes

A book that recorded stories, events, incidents and whatnots...that happened during the trips. So when I falls into the trap of "memory loss" this could be handy. And I like what was said on the cover -

"Though we travel the world to find the beautiful, we must carry it with us or we find it not."

~ Ralph W. Emerson

Completed : BEIJING, CHENGDE and TIANJIN. SOUTH KOREA

Just some trips

Looking back the years, places that have left my footprint:

1999 ~ Australia (Gold Coast, Sydney, Melbourne); Australia (Perth)

2000 ~ Thailand (Koh Samui); Turkey (Istanbul, Ankara, Cappadocia, Troy, Ephesus, Pamukkale,…

2002 ~ UK (Manchester, Oban, Fort William, Uig, Stornoway, Kyle, Isle of Sky, Ullapool, Lewis, Stirling, Inverness, Perth,…); Thailand (Bangkok, Pattaya)

2003 ~ Thailand (Bangkok); Korea (Seoul, Gangwon-do)

2004 ~ Thailand (Bangkok); Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur)

2005 ~ China (Beijing, Chengde, Tianjin)

2006 ~ Thailand (Bangkok)

2007 ~ Taiwai (Taipei, Yilan)

Moving forward, places waiting for the loz-sheep’s footprint:

21st century ~ Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos PDR, Myanmar, Mongolia, Tibet, Silk Road, Shangri-La (China),……
First Postcard received

Just some collections

Besides travelling, I'm a hoader that collected (notice the past tense) anything. But I can no longer afford the kind of time (& energy). These days, the only collection left is postcards and fridge magnet. And thanks to some special friends, my postcard collection is expanding...taking places unknown and strange to me. Due to other commitments, I am unable to travel as frequent as I would like to. So, the cards became another form of "travelling" for me; where I see the world with other people's eyes.
