"Introduction to the Hunter Valley" Cessnock by CdnJane

Ok, so this picture could be anywhere in Australia... or anywhere in the world, for that matter. I just know that I took it from the coach window near Cessnock coming from the Hunter Valley.
I have been up to the Hunter Valley a couple of times, the first time being on a day's coach tour. It was an interesting way to taste some of the wines and not worry about driving.

We stopped at about 4 of the wineries, including Windham Estate - just one of their properties, and where we had a lovely lunch. We did some tasting here. Unfortunately, I have a reaction to red wine, so missed out on about 1/2 of the tour. I don't remember the other wineries, but I really enjoyed our stop at McGuigan's Winery and their Hunter Valley Cheese Company. I returned there again with my friend and we enjoyed sitting out on the covered deck with a plate of cheeses & biscuits, and some nice Chardonnay, and bottled water (I did the return drive home, so needed to be very sober, my first drive in Oz!)

• Pros:Introduction into the Hunter Valley
• Cons:None to speak of
• In a nutshell:Saw more of the Hunter Valley than Cessnock but it looked nice
