The area around Flåm and Aurland and the western fjords is heavily touristed and well discovered, but the true scale of what you see here still leaves plenty of room for you to discover this area without feeling overwhelmed.

There are numerous trails around the area, some of which don't see quite so much foot traffic.

This is one of the treasures of Europe, which can be seen by numerous means: boat, foot, car, bus, rail, or bike.
